Designing with text on a path
Text can be directly written upon any path or can be pasted from any traditional text frame. Type on a Path Tool is in the Type Tool family of tools in the toolbar. Click and hold the icon of any tool within this family to access the additional tools, including Type on a Path Tool. Choosing this tool will now adjust the cursor to a variation of the insertion cursor you usually see when choosing the regular Type Tool (see Figure 7.13):

In addition to Type on a Path Tool, there is also Vertical Type on a Path Tool. It works very similarly to Type on a Path Tool.
To apply text to a path, you can just move the cursor over the selected path and then click on it. It will then be filled with highlighted placeholder text. At this stage, you can change the highlighted placeholder text by typing the intended text. The text can then be modified and adjusted along the path (Figure 7.14):
