Understanding the statistical frameworks
Every statistical analysis and especially its interpretation is dependent on the statistical framework. During the last several decades, two main statistical frameworks have evolved, the Frequentist statistical framework and the Bayesian Statistical framework. We can define these as two main Statistical philosophies and their application in Biological and Clinical research can determine the interpretations of results, and also define the decision making processes in life science.
Statistical frameworks make the assumptions and the foundation for the statistical analysis being implemented. They contain both the theoretical foundations and the relevant interpretation principles which will be used later in the analysis.
