Working with settings in dashboards

Looker dashboards have a variety of settings that you can use to customize the look and feel of your dashboard, as well as to control how users interact with it.

How to do it...

Let’s discover the setting options of the dashboard:

1. To access the dashboard settings, open the dashboard in edit mode and click the Settings button.
2. In the General tab, set Automatically refresh dashboard every 1 Day.
3. Let’s keep the Refresh frequency “Same as dashboard” for all the tiles
4. In the Filters tab, in the default filters view, choose Expanded, and in Filters location, choose Right.
5. Click Save.
6. In the dashboard interface, click Save as well to save all your dashboard change.
7. You might now see the filters on the right part of the page and the data of this dashboard will be refreshed regularly (every day).
8. You may go to Settings again to play with different configurations.
