Summary

To conclude, in this chapter, we started by describing the points to be considered based on the type of move being chosen around Greenfield versus Brownfield versus Bluefield migration to SAP S/4HANA on RISE with SAP. We then walked you through the why, what, and how of the data migration strategy/approach, along with debunking some industry myths and issues that customers face more often than not. With the why, what, and how defined, we also described the importance of data quality and governance in the end-to-end life cycle of loading data relevant to S/4HANA. We then went through how the activities mentioned earlier would align with the SAP Activate methodology and the associated RACI to be followed.

We finally reviewed the different options available in order to perform the data migration activity, along with the comparison across different tools available for performing the migration.
