Conventions used
There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.
Code in text
: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: “The function then reads a value and stores it in the receivedData
variable.”
A block of code is set as follows:
#include "Rte_Receiver.h" void ReceiverCounterFunction(void) { UInt32 receivedData; Rte_Read_ReceiverInterface_ReceiverInput(&receivedData); // Process received data, e.g., control an actuator based on the input // In this example only odd counter value is sent if (receivedData % 2) { Rte_Write_ReciverModule_CounterSig(receivedData) } }
Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see onscreen. For instance, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in bold. Here is an example: “AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture (AUTOSAR) is a standard for the development of automotive electronic systems. “
