Recording automation in the Arrangement View
We already learned how, in the previous section, to select a parameter for automation. In this section, we will take that further and record track automation in real time!
Take the following steps with me:
- We could automate mixer parameters, such as panning, volume fader, or even sends, as we learned that nearly all parameters in Live can be automated. However, for this example, we are going to automate a device parameter.
- Insert an Auto Filter effect onto the SYNTH 1 track.
- Make sure that Automation Mode is enabled.
- We also need to enable the Automation Arm button, as we are going to record automation.
