TI-LFA node protection preference
The TI-LFA node protection preference scenario is depicted in Figure 14.4.

As seen here, the topology is strategically designed to not offer all three TI-LFA path protections (link + node + SRLG) simultaneously.
Objective
The objective of this lab is to explore a scenario where the router requests TI-LFA to provide link (default) + node + SRLG protection. However, due to the absence of simultaneous protection and the nature of the topology, TI-LFA prefers node protection. This objective is achieved through the tasks outlined here:
- Prefer node protection over SRLG protection on
P2
by increasing the SRLG index. - Verify that TI-LFA backup path protection prioritizes node protection.

The lower the tiebreaker index, the higher the protection preference.
