Configuring Windows Update options

Ever since Windows 2000 Professional, after almost every installation of the Windows OS, I have immediately checked for Windows Update. I am sure you did the same too. And trust me, that approach is considered a best practice because that way, your computer is able to receive roll-up updates and feature upgrades. Above all, it receives security updates, too, which will keep your computer safe and protected from external threats, such as malware and hackers. Therefore, it is not good at all to neglect or, for whatever reason, disable the Windows Update process.
