Integrating a Mininet virtual switch with OpenDaylight


Let's start building a Mininet topology with one switch and two hosts. Before we start, ensure your OpenDaylight instance is up and running and you can access it via the web interface; verify that you can successfully log in as well.

If for any reason you are unable to log in to your OpenDaylight web interface, go back to your installation steps and review the configuration or perform a fresh installation.

Now a quick flashback to Chapter 3, OpenDaylight Installation and Deployment. If you are reinstalling OpenDaylight, ensure you are extracting the OpenDaylight instance from the original TAR file. Run /opt/OpenDayLight/boron/bin/karaf for the first time. After landing on Karaf (OpenDaylight) Command Prompt, run the following command:

>feature:install odl-dlux-all odl-restconf odl-l2switch-switch odl-mdsal-apidocs
