Discovering the IT landscape
Any new software at a company will become part of the existing IT landscape. To understand how the individual components work together, we need to understand the structure. In general, this structure is called enterprise architecture.
The enterprise architecture itself is split up into three parts:
- Business architecture: This is the business structure from an organizational and operational perspective.
- Information architecture: This is the structure of enterprise data, including how to find and understand it.
- Technology architecture: This is the structure of supporting systems and operational aspects.
