OpenAPI basics
The OpenAPI Specification (OAS) gives a technical interface description for HTTP-based web APIs. It describes all the details necessary to understand how to make an HTTP request to that specific web service. A basic understanding of the OAS is important when integrating with other systems, as Appian supports OpenAPI directly for outgoing and incoming web service calls. Many of the verbs used in OpenAPI closely resemble the verbs used in HTTP.
When creating a new connected system in Appian, you can select OpenAPI as a type.
