Instructional strategy


You should develop your instructional strategy by linking your activities to your learning objectives. Remember that your instructional strategy is the way that you map your learning objectives to your course materials, your activities, and your assessments.

As you start to organize the course, follow these steps:

  1. Review the overall goals of your course
  2. Review the learning objectives
  3. Describe how you will measure the outcomes
  4. Review the activities that connect to the learning outcomes and the course content
  5. Review the activities that are most appropriate for your learners
  6. Determine how you would like to best motivate your learners by developing badges
  7. Determine whether or not your institution requires you to align with competency frameworks

Following these steps will help you organize your assignments and also create a template that you can use for your other courses.
