Creating the side profiles of the television shelf

In this section, we will learn how we can create frame-looking profiles inside Substance Designer. Frames can be created in myriad different ways; however, we will look at the easiest way of doing it.

So, let us start creating frame-looking side profiles with the following steps:

1. First, we need some space between the Top and Bottom Profile and Final Blend nodes so that we can add new nodes between them.

Pull the Top and Bottom Profile frame toward the left to create space, as shown in Figure 10.20. We can create more space later as needed.

2. To add new nodes to the Substance graph, we need an open node in between the Top and Bottom Profile and Final Blend nodes. Therefore, select the link connection between these two nodes and add the Blend node.
