Understanding the AUTOSAR methodology

The AUTOSAR methodology is a structured approach for retrieving the executables of ECUs in automotive systems. It consists of three main steps:

  1. System Configuration: This step involves setting up the entire system. This includes defining the overall architecture, interconnections between ECUs, and specifying the communication protocols.
  2. ECU Configuration: This step focuses on individual ECUs. In this step, specific information related to each ECU is extracted and prepared for subsequent actions. This information is essential for customizing the configuration of each ECU according to its requirements and functionalities.
  3. Code Generation: In this step, the actual executable code for each ECU is generated. This code is derived from the configuration settings and specifications obtained in the previous steps. It ensures that each ECU operates according to its designated functionality within the system.
