In this chapter, you learned how to develop add-ons for JIRA. If you already have a working knowledge of Java, and have worked on Maven, then you have a good opportunity to learn add-on development for JIRA and other Atlassian tools. Whenever the existing functionality is not sufficient to serve your needs, you can always develop add-ons for JIRA.
