Planning and configuring emergency calling policies
In the Teams admin center, you'll find Emergency policies on the left-hand menu under Voice. There are two types we'll cover in this section:
- Emergency calling policies
- Emergency call routing policies
As with other Teams policies, your tenant comes with a default, global policy for each type that can either be customized or supplemented by additional, custom policies. Also, as with other policies, a user can have a maximum of one policy per type applied to them at any one time.
We'll start by reviewing emergency calling policies.
Emergency calling policies
Emergency call routing policies specify the emergency numbers for Direct Routing and then the actions that occur when a call to one of those numbers is made, such as notifications to a security team in your organization.
