Summary

A day in the life of a CIO or CISO is full of pressure and stress. This stress comes with the role, but rather than just accepting it, there should be approaches that you take to help manage the stress effectively. That said, the pressures are different and there are distinctive degrees of stress with each CIO and CISO persona.

Not every CIO/CISO is the same, and their natural styles will bring different pressures and strains. Some very specific forms of stress were explored in this chapter, and these will vary depending on what kind of CIO and CISO you are.
