Before wrapping up, I want to share a couple of final thoughts to provide proper context for everything we’ve discussed so far regarding the data product-centered paradigm and data management in general.
The evolution of data management
Data management is inherently complex. The paradigm outlined in this book acknowledges this complexity and seeks to offer a data product-centered paradigm for navigating it more effectively. However, managing data as a product is not the ultimate solution to every challenge in data management. It is not a paradigm that renders all previous methods obsolete and research for new ones unnecessary. In other words, it’s a significant step in the evolution of data management practice, not the final chapter.
