Planning policy assignments for users and groups
Policies for Microsoft Teams are a powerful and efficient way to assign settings and features to users individually or via batch assignment.
In most cases, the global (org-wide default) policies can be used or customized. These are also convenient as all users are automatically assigned to these default policies. However, custom policies may also be created and are useful when you need to assign a specific set of policies to users who may have a more specialized role. Where users are directly assigned a custom policy, this policy will take precedence.
Let's look at assigning a policy from the Teams admin center:
