Summary

There is an ever-increasing demand for IP addresses, and IPv6 is really the only method available to keep up with this demand. This chapter provided you with an introduction to IPv6 and talked about some of the underlying concepts related to it, such as hexadecimal numbering, transmission types, and different IPv6 addresses. We also learned how to assign IPv6 addresses and configure them on a Windows device. We finished off this chapter by discussing the methods available to us so that we can use IPv6 alongside IPv4.
