Using memory locations within a project
Memory locations are a great way to communicate ideas and instructions between team members. They are essentially markers that can be placed on the timeline. They can also be one method of putting notes for yourself or others. I also use markers extensively for motion picture and linear media to denote scene changes since so much sonic information changes between scenes. In this recipe, we’ll add some simple markers to our project in a few different ways and show how they can be used.
Getting ready
For this recipe, a blank Pro Tools session is all you need. Make sure that the Markers ruler is visible in the Edit window. You can do this by going to the menu bar and selecting View | Rulers and confirming Markers is checked.
