Restoring a default GPO

This recipe shows you how to restore the default domain policy and the Default Domain Controller Policy to default settings.

Getting ready

To restore the Default Domain Policy and the Default Domain Controller Policy to default settings, log into a domain controller (a non-read-only domain controller) with an account that is a member of the Domain Admins group.

How to do it...

Use the following command to restore the default domain policy to its default settings on an elevated Command Prompt (cmd.exe):

dcgpofix.exe /target:Domain
