In the previous chapter, we examined the components and structure of the socio-technical architecture that underpins a data management solution centered on data products.
In this chapter, our focus shifts toward the identification and prioritization of data products to implement. We’ll first introduce the domain-driven design methodology as a way to identify the relevant business cases to address within the business domain of an organization. Then, we’ll explore how to utilize the event storming methodology to identify the necessary data products to support the implementation of the business cases of interest. Finally, we’ll tackle the management of the data product portfolio.
