Summary
In this chapter, we learned how to design and implement a Meta-analysis. We learned about the basic biology of cancer treatments and different chemotherapy strategies used, such as TKI and traditional chemotherapies. We learned how to form a research question based on cancer biology. Further, we learned how to design inclusion/exclusion criteria, describe the data, and create event tables for Meta-analysis. We learned how to implement DerSimonian and Laird inverse variance and MH methods. Finally, we learned how to visualize and interpret the results.
In the next chapter, we will gain a deeper understanding of biological variables. We will also learn how to relate biological variables to biological experiments and how to form research questions in life science.
