Implementing useful metrics

Not every Agile or Lean-Agile team needs the same metrics. Executives and customers will influence choices and likely request information not listed in this subsection. Additionally, product owners may need additional information to understand how the product's architecture, design, and technical depth issues can impact the delivery of identified and prioritized product backlog items.

The list that follows includes standard metrics that the product teams and their stakeholders may find helpful. The metrics broadly support the primary quality, productivity, and project objectives of Agile, Lean, and Kanban performance measures and software quality measures.
