Cost rate table
A cost rate table in Microsoft Project is like having your own custom price list for your project’s needs, ensuring you can easily switch between different rates that you want to apply to your tasks’ assignments. This allows for customization of the rates that can be applied to various tasks using the same resource. The following steps can be used to construct and apply the different Cost Rate tables.
- Create the desired Cost Rate tables as covered previously for the desired resource.
- Assign the resource to the desired task.
- Select View | Task Usage.
- Locate the desired task, right-click on the resource under the task to which you want to apply the cost rate table, and choose information from the right-click menu:
