Editing visualizations

When working with visualizations in Looker, you have the possibility to use the existing ones, add additional visualizations from Looker Marketplace, and develop and then add your own custom visualizations (adding happens in the Admin panel) as well.

You can edit the visualizations in the Explore to make them more clear, beautiful, organized, and readable for your audience.

Getting ready

Make sure you are in your Orders and Users Explore. We can continue working with the Results table from the previous section that has the Age Group and Gender columns and is pivoted by gender (Figure 3.11). Make sure the Visualizations section is open and that the visualization looks like the one we have in Figure 3.11.

How to do it...

To edit our existing column-type/bar chart visualization, you need to do the following:

  1. In the Visualization section, click on Edit (near Forecast).
  2. You will see multiple tabs:
    1. Go to the Plot tab:
      1. In the Plot tab in Series...
