Summary

In this chapter, you built MusicService, MediaPlayer, and MusicProvider, which Android Auto will be using to allow the user to browse through the media content categories and select media to play. Also, you created an Android mobile media player application that you can use to test MusicService, MediaPlayer, and MusicProvider.
In the next chapter, you will learn to create a backend service to serve the media content from Microsoft Azure, and most importantly you will learn to simulate your MusicService using the Android Auto desktop header unit and then you will be running your Android Auto podcast application using the real car.
