In this chapter, we will look at the components available for you to use. Whether you are a traditional software engineer, a DevOps practitioner, or a systems administrator, you need to use practices that allow the creation, and re-creation, of consistent, extensible, and portable products. Amazon's application programming interface (API) driven services simplify mixing these services in order to synthesize new products.
