Differences between macOS and Windows setups

There is very little difference in the basic setup between macOS and Windows prior to building for their respective platforms. I have set up the projects in the exact same manner so as to make the flow easier to follow. If you own both a macOS and a Windows computer, then when you go to the macOS portion, you can skip to the building section. If you only own Windows, then you can just follow the instructions there. Conversely, if you only own a macOS device, then you will have the full set of instructions there and you can skip the Windows project setup section.
