Introduced first in Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, Microsoft Store serves as a digital platform for distributing Windows apps. Microsoft Store apps are designed to be used across multiple platforms such as desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. Mostly, these apps are focused on performing a certain task, though there are also apps that can perform a small subset of tasks. Despite the great benefits that Microsoft Store offers to individual users, for IT support staff it raises challenges because users in a corporate network want to be able install and use these apps across all of their devices. For that reason, it is very important for organizations to put in place appropriate policies that will enable configuring and managing Windows 10 devices in order to support the use of these new apps properly in a business environment.
