Conventions used
There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.
Code in text: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: “The ImmutableID value in Azure AD as a base64 conversion of an object’s on-premises Active Directory object GUID.”
Any command line input and output is written as follows:
Get-Msoluser -MaxResults 10 -Department "Project Management" | Select DisplayName,UserPrincipalName,Department
Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see on screen. For instance, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in bold. Here is an example: “To export a list of audit log entries, an administrator can open the audited data and click on Export results.”
