Evaluating the security posture by using Secure Scores
As stated in the previous section, Microsoft Defender for Cloud provides ways for you to evaluate current security controls and recommendations for additional controls to improve your environment’s security posture. The overall security posture of the environment is given a percentage or number value known as the Secure score.
Reviewing and evaluating the security posture recommendations allows you to increase your secure score. When selecting the View recommendations option, as shown in Figure 6.12, you will be taken to the list of recommended security controls. By default, these are listed by the highest impact on the secure score, as shown in Figure 6.13:
