So, now that we've explored in-depth the objectives, functions, and limitations of various transport layer protocols, let's take a look at how we can interact with those protocols in C#. We'll start by taking a close look at the classes and features exposed by .NET Core for implementing TCP requests directly from our application code. We'll see how stepping down in the network stack gives us a degree of flexibility and control over our network operations that wasn't previously available in the application layer protocols we've explored in previous chapters.
