Process integration
For each process in the best practice frameworks, you will have both primary and secondary relationships and interactions with other processes. Since every process has a relationship with every other process, this section will only cover the primary relationships to key processes. Each process will be described in this section, along with the key interactions service asset management has with it.
Supplier management
Supplier management is a key process for service asset management. Suppliers will provide key information about the service assets being deployed by the service provider. This information will be necessary to establish the useful life of the asset, the licensing requirements for software, the maintenance obligations of the supplier, and the cost of the assets. All this information should be captured and recorded as part of the asset management database so that all the service assets can be effectively and efficiently managed.
