In any app, as in the real world, we deal with a lot of text data. We then obviously need to manipulate the text to get just the right format for the app user to easily understand it. At times, you may need to only use part of the text, or at times, you might want to combine the data from multiple columns into a text string to create a meaningful message or information for the app user. You can use the AppSheet text functions to manipulate the text in an app just the way you want.
