Technical requirements

For this chapter, all that will be required is a working copy of CODESYS. As such, if you have not already done so, you will need to complete the setup presented in Chapter 7. Once you are done with that, you will be able to follow along with this chapter. All the code examples are available at https://github.com/PacktPublishing/PLCs-for-Beginners.

To understand this chapter, you will need to understand the data types that were explored in the previous chapter. As such, if you do not understand that material or haven't at least read the material in the previous chapter, you need to go back to that chapter.
