Cloud services

Every cloud provider offers a wide array of services to meet the potential needs of businesses. It also enables them to access cutting-edge technologies, and as we’ve seen in the previous section, without the burden of managing complex infrastructure, fostering agility and growth.

A network architect, whose primary focus is to design on-premises solutions, must begin to foster ideas that abstract the concepts that once resided within a physical capacity to those of a logical one. Bridging networking solutions with those of cloud services is progress towards a cloud-focused mindset.

Note

For the purposes of this section, the cloud providers will be the big three: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The focus will be on the building blocks as opposed to the entire portfolio offered.
