Summary

In this chapter, we learned about how to use bitbake to build a custom system image, starting with Qt's Boot to Qt configuration files. The process is similar to building Yocto, Poky, or Ångström. We also learned how use devtool to customize Qt's build to add more functionality. Then, we discussed how to add your own recipe using recipetool into the image. By doing this, you were also able to add this recipe into a new layer. We finished off by deploying the image onto an SD card so that it could be run on the Raspberry Pi.
