How do you know that your app is usable?
We get the most valuable feedback about whether or not our users can efficiently use our products by measuring usability. We are all users. Some of the applications we use are great, some not so much. We can feel our users’ struggle by observing how an application can annoy, slow, or confuse us.
High usability means an excellent user experience for those who use the software system. As a user, I have many applications and products to choose from. Most of the time, the ones that keep me engaged are performant and easy to follow. Increased usability depends on more than the UI. It results from user-oriented design, performance, robust fallback in case of errors, easy-to-follow and remember functionality, and, last but not least, how the user enjoys the whole experience.
As the end users are the most critical stakeholders, we should build a system that helps them achieve their goals by keeping track of the usability of the user experience...
