Bouncing a project to a finished file
What might be the most direct way to finish and export a file, bouncing as a term was coined during the analog days since the signal would “bounce” around different devices to end up on the record track. Keeping this phrase might seem outdated, but it also harkens to a time when bouncing in Pro Tools could only be done in real time to take advantage of its outboard gear. Now, there are different ways to bounce a track, but we’ll look at the most basic options and weigh up their pros and cons.
Getting ready
