Technical requirements
To complete all of the hands-on exercises in this chapter, you will need the following:
- GitHub team (preferred) or personal account with repository owner-level permissions, which you can get at https://github.com/signup.
- Git command line installed for your OS. We suggest a supported package manager depending on the OS, such as Brew for macOS. For Windows users, we suggest the GNU port located at https://git-scm.com/download/win.
- Hashicorp HCP free account, preferably created with your GitHub credentials for SSO, which you can do at https://developer.hashicorp.com/sign-up.
- A Hashicorp Terraform Cloud free account with the HCP account by selecting Continue with an HCP account on the page at https://app.terraform.io/public/signup.
- Administrator-level access to an Amazon Web Services (AWS) account on a free or paid tier from https://aws.amazon.com/free/.
