Generating subtitles
Ever scroll through social media with the volume off, not wanting to disturb those around you? Maybe you’re in a situation where headphones aren’t handy. Or maybe you have hearing difficulties and need the post to be more accessible. That’s where captions and subtitles come in.
However, while both captions and subtitles provide text overlays for videos, there is a difference:
- Captions are automatically generated transcripts that appear when a video is played within the Canva platform. However, these captions are not embedded within the video file itself. As a result, when you download a video with captions from Canva, the captions will not be included. Captions can also not be edited if Canva misinterprets the audio and generates a mistake.
