Summary 


In this chapter, we covered the features of X-Pack. It provides a lot of important features to the Elastic Stack, such as security then monitoring, through which we can keep an eye on the way our cluster is performing and its individual components such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash.

Through security settings, apart from reserved users, we can create new users, edit them, and delete them. In the case of roles, we have different reserved roles, and we can create new custom roles, edit roles, delete them, and assign them to the users.

Apart from security and monitoring, we have machine learning, through which we can do a number of things effectively, such as finding anomalies in data and doing predictive analysis. Adding machine learning to Elastic Stack provides an edge, as we can do a lot more with the data. We will discuss more about machine learning in the next chapter.
