Describing Compliance Manager
As Microsoft Defender for Cloud provides a regulatory compliance section for reviewing company compliance to the Azure security baseline, ISO 27001:2013, and other standards, Microsoft 365 Compliance Manager does the same for Microsoft 365.
Compliance Manager provides a compliance score for the level of compliance against the Microsoft data protection baseline and regulatory standards. The data protection baseline is the default standard, much like the Azure security baseline is the default within Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Compliance Manager provides a compliance score based on the shared responsibility model, with a score for your responsibility and a score for Microsoft's responsibility. Figure 13.5 shows the compliance score:
