Another Detailed Example

In John D. Moyer’s excellent book Personal Intelligence, he describes the components of what makes up one’s “personal intelligence.”13 Part of this includes identifying information about personality, and he breaks this out into two sub-components:

  • Reading personality from faces
  • Knowing how to use introspection

Without going into great detail, let’s think about how you could use data manipulation to create attributes for these two items. What is the first thing you think of when you read the phrase “reading personality from faces”? You probably think of some basic emotions: happy, sad, angry, tired, or crazy, for instance.
