A brief overview of the AUTOSAR OS

The core of the AUTOSAR platform is the AUTOSAR OS, which is responsible for efficiently managing the execution of software components on electronic control units (ECUs). With meticulous design, the AUTOSAR OS handles crucial functions such as task scheduling, resource allocation, event management, and alarm functionalities.

The AUTOSAR OS is positioned strategically within the AUTOSAR stack, interacting closely with all basic software (BSW) layers, managing and utilizing the hardware (HW) directly if needed. Let’s take a look at the structure again:
