Elasticsearch runs on Linux/macOS/Windows, and a browser to access Kibana.

If you don't want to go into the details of installing and configuring your Elasticsearch instance, and instead want to quickly set up your environment for developing or fun purposes, you can skip and go straight to the Setting up a node via Docker recipe to fire it up via Docker Compose.
