Summary

It is the end of a quite long chapter. In this chapter, we have focused on AD DS architecture and features to improve the AD infrastructure further to match with business requirements. We started the chapter by looking into AD LDS and its capabilities. Then, we moved on to Active Directory replication. In that section, we focused on the physical and logical components involved with Active Directory replication and how they can be used to optimize complex replication requirements. More importantly, we also looked into how Active Directory replication happens behind the scene. Then, we moved on to the read-only domain controllers and looked into their features and deployment scenarios. Later, we looked into Active Directory database maintenance.
