In this chapter, we have looked at what symptoms, actions, and recommendations are, and how to create and bundle them together to create fine-tuned granular alerting that meets the environment's needs. After that, we examined what policies are made of and how they can affect alert generation. At the end, we showed how to configure alert notifications and the possible ways to push alerts to an external system, such as an ITSM solution.
